Deleting Private Mail Messages

I am wondering if you are suppose to be able to delete messages you have sent out to other people? I have tried deleting these messages but they always keep appearing after I thought I deleted them. If anyone could help me out in figuring this out, I would really appreciate it.

No. Once you send a message, you cannot delete it.
